We enroll children into our Academy on a space-available basis. Upon
enrollment, children are assigned to a classroom based on age and
developmental level. We assess children’s developmental levels based
on a developmental history that you complete during the enrollment
process, observations teachers make of the children and conversations
with you upon enrollment. Our program enrolls children from infant to
5 years of age.
Children’s Nest Academy is a newly renovated facility licensed for 42 children. It features a large fenced in play area, small child teacher ratios, and separate classrooms for infant, toddler and preschool children. Each room has specially designed activities for each age grouping.
We believe that a childs most important learning occurs before the age of five. We are a Montessori inspired program. We believe that children learn best through child-centered and child-directed activities, and through play and exploration of materials. Teachers facilitate the children’s learning by providing materials, guidance and support for each child to learn at his or her own pace and by designing curriculum-based activities to enhance learning.
Our goal at Children’s Nest Academy is to make everyday a unique and interesting challenge. To expose children to play and learning situations and give them the opportunity to explore, problem solve, accept small responsibilities, form friendships, share ideas, express creatively, follow directions and step daily to their own new direction.
Children’s Nest Academy is dedicated to providing high quality education and childcare to each young child in a safe, respectful and nurturing environment. Our program is designed to provide for the social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of every child in an atmosphere of loving guidance. We aim to provide early literacy where children can expose to early language skills and literacy. Pre reading and early writing is one of our greatest focus. Our main focus is to expose our young learner to early numeracy, pre-math and science. Our goal is to help shape children to develop a love for learning throughout their life cycle. Our staff will encourage the development of each individual child to their full potential. Our center will work in partnership with our families to promote a positive preschool experience for each child.
